Noiseless Transition: Infosys enables T-Mobile UK to faster realise the benefits of outsourcing its Finance Directorate Functions | White Paper
A noiseless and on-time transition is critical in maximizing the value achieved in an outsourcing initiative, but it is difficult for many outsourcing relationships to overcome the transition challenges. This case study details how T-Mobile UK achieved that objective by leveraging Infosys BPO’s proven transition methodology. The initiative involved four departments, 21 processes, 130 sub-processes, 70 FTEs at risk, 35 Infosys staffed to be trained onsite at T-Mobile, and an accelerated time line with no room for slippages. Adding to these risks, T-Mobile’s finance directorate had no prior experience with outsourcing.
To overcome anticipated challenges and minimize risks from a number of complexities, they implemented the Infosys Transition Methodology consisting of five states (preparation, planning, executive, parallel run, and steady state) across five tracks. This white paper presents a detailed description of the transition at every step throughout the life cycle. It also discusses the critical factors that not only yielded a successful transition but also resulted in building a foundation for a highly effective, mutually beneficial, long-term relationship.
