York Day School in California adopted solar power in a unique outsourcing relationship with Solar Power Partners, a finance company for solar projects, and Blueline Power, a solar power integrator. The relationship provides the school with electricity at a competitive rate guaranteed for 15 years. Outsourcing reduced the school’s carbon footprint and creates a progressive image, which helps with fundraising.
