  • The Shift to a Patient-Centric Healthcare Ecosystem

Data is at the epicenter of the transformation of U.S. healthcare to a consumer-centric ecosystem, primarily due to the multitude of participants who want to view what they need, when they need it, via the channel they prefer.

Additionally, it all must be their information, and it must be accurate. Thus it has become imperative for all healthcare constituents to develop the ability to seamlessly integrate and share information for ease of consumption, use and dissemination. Participants in the healthcare ecosystem must also remain mindful of the stakeholders' need for revenue growth from either profit dollars or medical reimbursement funds as they shift their focus to information sharing and ease of integration.

Finally, this paper illustrates how this shift is taking place and the key components driving the move towards a patient-centric healthcare ecosystem.
